I Published My Book

I recently self published my first book, and I posted this to FreeRepublic out of respect for
the many FReepers who have been part of my growth, which has led to my ability to write.

I've been a Freeper for 25 years come February 20, 2023, and I must admit my knowledge and understanding of things has been immensely effected by the many great minds who are part of that great forum. Whether it's about politics, science, history, or religion, FreeRepublic has been to me, what many Colleges used to be. I have witnessed many a great mind debate other great minds, and I have also witnessed my share of knock down, drag out, leave no prisoner, fights between Freepers who would die on their cross of beliefs. Probably the biggest was the battle of the long-knives. This is not an insult, but rather a compliment to the way that forum has truly effected me, and many like me, in our understanding of the world throughout the last 25 years.

Did Jesus Truly Say

Did Jesus Truly Say,

“I Will Build My Church Upon Peter”

Matthew 16:13-20

By Chuck Ness

Until now I have not shared my opinion of what I think of the many inherent ways the Catholic Church has misinterpreted Scripture throughout the years. I can no longer be silent on the subject, because it is one that the Catholic Church has used to teach heresy.

Habakkuk

When Jacob blessed his sons, his blessings were also prophecies about each son's descendants. Through time these prophecies were fulfilled. From the first born to the last, Jacob blessed his sons. (Genesis 49:1-27

However, Judah would receive the lion’s share of the blessings.

Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father's children shall bow down before you. Judah is a lion's whelp; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He bows down, he lies down as a lion; And as a lion, who shall rouse him? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people. Binding his donkey to the vine, And his donkey's colt to the choice vine, He washed his garments in wine, And his clothes in the blood of grapes. His eyes are darker than wine, And his teeth whiter than milk.”

No Human Was Created For Hell

Calvinists like to use Paul's reference in Romans 9:13, which refers to the story of Jacob and Esau, to support their Calvinist doctrine of predestination. Yet when we read Genesis 25:27-34, we know that Esau willingly, on his own, forfeited his birthright by selling it to Jacob. Thus it should be obvious that it was not by God’s election, but rather by Esau’s own free will choice. It's a misinterpretation of the Scriptures to claim this text teaches predestination?

To properly understand the text in question, one must understand the main reason Paul wrote his letter to the Jewish and gentile believers in Rome. His purpose was to reconcile their differing opinions, particularly about the obligation of the Jewish law, the advantage of the Jew, and the way of justification. At the time the two groups inside the new Christian church were trying to defend their own special opinions. Thus Paul’s desire was to explain to his converted countrymen the great doctrines of Christianity, and the relation of the Law of Moses to the Christian.

Let Go Of The Anger (Romans 12:18-21)

by Chuck Ness

Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured. Paul tells us to;
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking
be put away from you, with all malice.
Ephesians 4:31
Anger and rage do more harm to those those who practice it, than it does to the person the anger is targeted at. How many times have we witnessed someone so full of anger and rage that they end up doing something that only hurts themselves. How many times has that happened to you?

The Lord our God gave us a free will. The ability to choose which road to take in our daily journey. We can choose to walk in peace with The Lord, or we can choose to walk in anger with the enemy. One is grace the other is not, one is obedience the other is sin.

Notes On Baptism

Baptism is a sacrament we do in the manner Jesus Himself was baptized. It should be done in “the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” We are instructed in such a fashion as described in the Scriptures, but unlike the Old Testament we do not only do it for the clergy, because under Christ we are all in the priesthood, so all believers need to be baptized. What follows is a short summary of things to understand about baptism. Followed by an outline which can be used in a bible class on Baptism from

And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?" But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him.
Matthew 3:14-15

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20

Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,
Romans 6:3-5

The Sower & Faith

As most will agree, when the Israelites entered the promised land, it was not a picture of us entering heaven, but rather the beginning of our trials in the World as a believer. We also agree that the Israelites leaving Egypt were a shadow of us accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

All that being said, I am of the belief that the years in the desert are a representation of our first days, or Months of being a new Christian. For this is the time when most new Christians fall away, which are represented by the first two of the four seeds in the parable of the sower.

What About The Book Of Jasher (Book Review)

As translated by
Moses Samuel

not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.
Titus 1:14

Allow me to first make an observation as to the way we all write things. This will help lay the foundation as to how I look at the contents of the Book of Jasher. To begin with, we must understand how historical writings differentiate from spiritual and literal writings. Mind you I am one who loves to use outside sources to buttress my investigation into Christian commentaries I write about. However, only in as much as those secular writings can help me in areas related to customs, politics, secular history, popular culture etc. etc. etc.. However, in all the studies I do for sermons, Bible studies, or commentaries , I have used anything outside of the Scriptures to prove a theological point I am trying to make about what the Scriptures I'm explaining. I may use an example to enlighten one's mind in a parable sort of way, but not to prove a theological point.

No Fear Of GOD

"There is no fear of God before his eyes."
Psalm 36:1

Sadly, this phrase has been woven into the very fabric of our society today. When a man has no fear of GOD, he is prepared for any crime. Total depravity is not too strong a term to describe such human wickedness. Evil people who have no fear of GOD, in reality have no affection for others, all they care about is their own satisfaction.

Searching For Nuggets

As I prepare my next outline for the students in the Bangladesh Ministry I support, a few thoughts came to me I would like to share. Just so you understand where I am coming from, I'm concluding my study on the seven parables of Matthew chapter thirteen. Specifically the final three parables which culminate with two examples of those willing to give up everything , and a final sobering point about the day of reckoning when mere pretenders will be separated out from the true believers and cast into hell.

Like the the theological giants who came before us, we too look at the teachings of Jesus in order to better understand HIS wisdom. Yet after 2000 years of scrutiny by uncountable theologians, I still find a rich storehouse of treasures awaiting those who are patient seekers. Throughout his Gospel, Matthew unearths some of these nuggets of treasure for some to see while seemingly concealing others for those who have trained their minds to hear the scriptures in light of the reality of the kingdom of heaven. Throughout his Gospel, Matthew is trying to train us how to properly read Scripture in the light of how Jesus taught and shared wisdom. He does this in order too give us a treasure map, if you will, of how to locate the storehouse of treasures that include the pearls of exceeding value.

Handling Adversity Well

Take heed, do not turn to iniquity, for you have chosen this rather than affliction. Job 36:21

We all face adversity and affliction in our lives, the difference is how we handle that adversity and affliction. Are you responding to it in a negative fallen human way? Or are you taking it to Jesus?

How many times have you heard a person say, I was afflicted, and the stress became to much, so I turned to drugs or excessive drinking to forget my problems. My parents raised me terribly, so I turned to a life of crime and sin. After all, it’s not my fault it’s someone else’s fault. If they had not sinned against me, or if a calamity had not happened upon my life, I would not be the loser in life I am.

In the discourse of Job and his friends, the fourth man, Elihu, is the youngest. Yet he is the one who’s wisdom is the most profound. Follow what he tells Job and his friends about handling affliction.

Who Created Evil?

by Chuck Ness

The debate about who created evil is an important one since atheists and skeptics use the existence of evil in their arguments against theism. It is incumbent upon all Christians to understand what the Scriptures say about the God they worship and the existancxe of evil in the world. If God created everything, and if evil is in the world, does it follow that God created evil? We are told as Christians to believe what the Bible says. Even the popular children's song, “Jesus Loves Me”, has in its lyrics,

“Jesus loves me, this I know for the Bible tells me so”.
So, let us read what the Bible says.

In (Genesis 1:1) we read,
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

The New Testament says in (John 1:3),

“All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”
So, we now know that God made everything through Christ, but are there any Scriptures that specifically say God is the author of evil? The closest we can get is (Isaiah 45:7),
“I make peace and create calamity”,

and (Amos 3:6)

Running The Race To Finish Well (part 1)

by Jose Barajas

Being raised in a Catholic home meant that I was baptized as a child, and would take classes that prepared me for my first communion. Two things that have always struck me as being odd about the ceremonies I went through are A, baptizing a child goes against what scripture teaches us and B, my first communion was performed by a Spanish speaking priest. As a Hispanic family you would think nothing about it, except that I was raised to speak English not Spanish. So as you can guess I was clueless of what the Spanish priest was saying.  For all I know, I confessed to committing adultery and murder.

All this to say, I don’t believe my sins were ever absolved or forgiven, because my heart was not really into it. Truth is, I know for a fact I was not changed. It never ceases to amaze me how many have, and still do, fall into the same trap of man’s traditions when it comes to confessing their sins. Yet they are never truly believed nor repented of their sins. I, of course, speak from experience and not just from the time I was a Catholic.

Would You Like To Hear About My Best Friend Jesus?

When you give your life to Jesus, HE should become everything to you. Your strength, your joy, your comfort, and the insatiable desire of your heart. Everything we learn about our Savior offers us more satisfaction, more faith, more rest. Jesus is a never ending, never exhausted banquet of Mana that will fill our souls. HE is the water of life that will quench our thirst forever. Nothing tastes better to our hearts than him, and because of the Gospel we can keep eating of HIS goodness for all of eternity.

Eight Messages (A Book Review)

Caleb Stevenson's commentary on the letters to the Seven Churches of Revelation is not what modern readers will be prepared to read. First off, he covers eight churches, the eighth one being the modern church of America. Unlike the many commentaries that attempt to explain the letters wholly on a 22nd century understanding, he takes you back to the mindset of the 1st century church.

In today's modern World, everyone wants to know how the Book of Revelation will impact their life as we head into what could possibly be the last days before Christ returns. True, many early Christians thought they too were in the last days, but history proves they were not. It goes without saying that when John received his visions that the One, Jesus, Who gave the visions, knew the end was thousands of year in the future. Thus it makes no sense to believe that the intended readers of the letters were expected to believe the messages were for those thousands of years in the future.

What Is Life About?

The post at the end of this commentary has been making its round on Facebook. It is about Steve Jobs thoughts on life as he is ready to die. He tells us that he finally learned what life was all about. Well, I offer it, with this truth.

Not one time did Job mention anything about GOD, Christ, his salvation or anything of an after life. While he claims he learned something about wealth, and what life is truly about, he truly did not learn what the meaning of life is. That's because when it comes down to it, life is not about this world, and as Jesus said when his family came to take him away,

""""Who is My mother, or My brothers? Here are My mother and My brothers. Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's. If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. """" Paraphrased from accounts in Matthew, Mark & Luke

23 Renown Women Of Scriptures

I created a new chart that lists 23 women from the Scriptures. There are more than 23 women I could cover, but I took the 23 I felt were more recognizable to most Christians. Now, we all know who these women are, and their stories. From Eve to Mary, these women have had as great an impact on mankind as the men. Three, or maybe 4, are not known for their love of the One true GOD, while the others are remembered for their strength and courage in the face of adversity.

Books of The Prophets / Chronological Timeline Chart

When you open the Bible to read the books of the Prophets, you will notice they are not listed in chronological order. I have stated time and time again that while I believe every Word in the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit, I do not believe the divisions of chapters nor verses are inspired. Like the division of chapters and verses, I also do not believe the placement of where all the books themselves are located was inspired.

If Anyone Thirsts

The Feast of Booths, also known as the Festival of Tabernacles, was a week-long celebration when the Jews remembered the intervention of God during their wandering in the wilderness, as described in the book of Exodus. (Exodus 17:1-7)

As part of this holiday, the priests would carry water from the Pool of Siloam to the altar, remembering God's provision of water from the rock. The last day of the feast is the culmination of the festivities, when the priests would recite Psalm 118:25 while making seven circuits around the altar. This backdrop is crucial for understanding why Jesus spoke these particular words, at this particular time.

The Women Of Jesus' Genealogy

Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba

Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram. Ram begot Amminadab, Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon. Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David the king. David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.
Matthew 1:3-6

It is without a doubt that Matthew's desire was to present Jesus to a Jewish Christian audience as a Jewish royal figure. Not just the Son of Abraham, but rather the Son of David as mentioned in the very first verse. Thus the legal heir of King David's throne. This is why he had to incorporate the genealogy that traced his lineage back to David. However, something that has intrigued theologians since the early years of Matthew's Gospel, is his inclusion of four gentile women. Women who, with the exception of Ruth, possessed no exemplary character. To modern readers this might not seem so out of place, but for a first century Jewish scribe to include women in a record of ancestry was unheard of. The World of the first century was based upon Patriarchal systems where women had no rights to speak of. They were but possessions of the men who controlled the World.

Habakkuk, Then & Now

by Chuck Ness

As I was reading Habakkuk during my morning quiet time, I was given some insight I have not considered before. The phrase, ”The more things change, the more they stay the same,'' came to my mind. Jeremiah and Habakkuk were contemporaries living in Judaea just before and during the time when Babylon took them away. While Jeremiah taught that wickedness in God's own people has doomed them, Habakkuk preached about the corruption that had infested the government of their day. His opening verse gives us all we need to know about how evil the government of the Southern tribe of Judah had become.

Rumors Of Wars

We are most definitely living at a time in history the Prophets of old warned us about.

I can imagine how those great Prophets trembled at the thought of living in the future when this time would come amongst us. Oh it is not the ultimate end, but rather the very beginning of what is to come.

I do not have a good feeling about the near future, and nothing we do from here forth will change what is about to happen.

Palace intrigue is at the point where kings and queens of the past have trembled over the fear of assassination, revolt, and empire changing events.

Our Lord's Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

As we forgive our debtors.

And do not lead us into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen

I am of the belief that repeating the Lord’s prayer out of memory only, truly takes away from it's value to us. There is so much involved in the Words our LORD used. One should study this prayer, and  say it slowly phrase by phrase and really think and meditate upon it. But basically, JESUS is  giving to us a model prayer. One must understand that a prayer is always dependent upon relationship one has with our FATHER, and thus it is significant that the prayer opens expressing relationship. This how JESUS teaches us to start. Not just this prayer, but every time we pray we need to know that we are speaking to the Creator and lover of our very soul. What follows is what I understand each phrase of the prayer to truly mean.

America Needs to be Restored

by Chester

America needs to be restored. Our Constitution is the Law of Government, not the law of the land. It is a contract between the people and their elected representatives. It is directed TO THOSE IN OFFICE and NOT to the people, who retain their Liberty.

The Constitution (contract) organizes and establishes the duty, powers, and authority of government (Article one section eight). Any power not assigned...they don't have. The Tenth Amendment makes sure there is no question about that.

Donald & Ivana Trump In Pizza Hut video (1995)

Donald Trump's first wife, Ivana, died the other day, after a possible stroke, which she had as she was walking down the stairs. Her body was found at foot of the stairs. In 1973, Donald and Ivana had a nasty, but by the 1990's they had patched things up. OH, they did not ge remarried, but they did became good friends. Then in 1995, they teamed up together to make the classic Pizza Hut commercial below.

I do remember the commercial, and had since forgot about it, but just today it was brought to my attention. I must admit, had we known what a great President he would become I and millions like me would have asked him to run for President in 2020. For a few laughs, and in remembrance of Ivana, I offer you a great classic commercial.

Born Faith

by Jose Barajas

I have seven brothers and two sisters, as I have stated in the past. My parents are Mexican who were both born in Mexico. All of us, with the exception of my little brother, were born in Mexico. The fact that my little brother was born in America, makes him an American citizen, but he is still Mexican. After years of us living in the United States, some of my brothers, a sister, and both my parents received their citizenship and became American citizens, but they are still and will always be Mexican. Regardless of what our citizenship may be, we are what race, or nationality we were born into, and nothing we do can change that.

The book of Romans, written by the apostle Paul, is one of the great books in the Bible, and one of my favorites. There is what is called the Roman road of salvation when one is sharing the gospel of Jesus, and I want to focus on what Romans is truly teaching here. Let’s look at what Paul writes in Romans three twenty three,

Solomon's Temple

Sometimes it can be difficult visualizing and understanding sections of the Old Testament, especially when we lack cultural or historical context. Many of us have read about Solomon's Temple and understand its importance, but sometimes it is difficult for us to understand exactly why that is or how the temple functioned. In this video by Daniel Smith from Messages of Christ, he explains the symbolism, history, and location of Solomon's temple, something which sheds light on our current temples today.

Distance From Jerusalem in Miles

Below is a chart I put together to give you an idea of the distance all the towns Jesus visited are from Jerusalem. Often times while reading my Bible, I find myself wondering how far away one place is from another. Seldom do we consider how far they had to travel on foot from place to place. Most people back then either walked or road a donkey. No cars, no busses, nop plabnes, just you feet and maybe a donkey pulling a cart. Next time you read any of the accounts in the Bible, consider how far you are from the next city, and how long it would take you to walk, instead of drive.

2 Timothy 2:14-19

Be Not Ashamed,
Be Approved To GOD

(This is an outline of a message I shared via video conferencing with the volunteer student teachers of my Bangladesh Ministry. There are now over 7000 students with 50 student teachers. Theze student teachers travel to teach lessons in over 30 towns and villages in the South Eastern part of Bangladesh)

There is “handling the Word of Truth,” and there is “rightly handling the Word of Truth.” The difference between these two concepts is as vital as life and death. Mishandling the Word of Truth jeopardises both those who hear and those who are doing the handling. Tragically, mishandling the Word of Truth may be more common in the pulpits of this day than we might otherwise imagine.

Christ Is The Dark Matter Scientists Are Looking For

I first wrote about the topic of "Dark Matter back in 2009, but it was scrubbed from the files of the Chico Enterprise Record Newspaper I wrote for and lost to history, after I was unceremoniously let me go. Well, I just found it in a file I was going through which someone sent me a few years ago. I lost the email address of the person, since I changed internet companies, even at that the person who sent it to me preferred to remain anonymous. Anyway, I updated this article with some new information and this is what I now have.

by Chuck Ness

In their never ending attempt to explain away GOD as the Creator and Master of the universe, secular scientists come  up with all kinds of explanations to convince young and old brains full of mush that we, and the universe, came into being by pure chance. One of those yet to be proven theories is the presence of Dark Matter. However, many decades and billions of tax dollars later, astrophysicists still have yet to prove Dark Matter even exists.

I first read about the search to prove Dark Matter exists back in 2006 at space.com.  I was shocked when I read that a scientist actually said you need to believe it exists. I thought, "Wait a minute, did I just read a scientist use the phrase, “you must believe” something exists that has not yet been detected? Sounds a lot like religion doesn't it?  The article was posted in space.com way back in September 2007. In case the article in question is ever removed from space.com's website, I have learned that the Wayback Machine is holding many copies of their article. So they can never say I'm sharing false information. Hear that DHS?

Speaking Of Schisms

by Chuck Ness

As I was enjoying a picture commentary about the time king Saul attacked David, I was given an insight I had never previously considered. It's a connection that ties Saul's attack on David and our Lord Jesus being confronted by the religious leaders for plucking kernels of grain to eat on the Sabbath. Jesus used the moment in history when David was fleeing Saul to teach the religious leaders about the true nature of the Sabbath as meant by GOD. Yet, when you consider all the factors involved in the two moments in history, you will learn that there is much more involved than just a lesson on the Sabbath. Like many portions of the Scriptures, GOD has hidden nuggets for us to find, and in this lesson we uncover the connection of two schisms and the fulfillment of a 20 year old prophecy.

A schism is a division between people, usually belonging to an organization, movement, or religious denominations. Weaved into the incidents of David and Jesus are two schisms where the ones in control lash out at God's anointed. Thus causing a schism that puts the very lives of GOD's chosen in jeopardy, while ultimately culminating in GOD's plan for mankind's salvation.

Flipper Chases Nemo (Video)

This is one the most fascinating short videos I have seen in awhile. I love dolphins, and as such I  have always been fascinated by their behavior towards humans. Yet, when I ran across this video, I found myself watching it over and over again. Knowing how it would end up, but wishing for a different outcome. Yet dolphins are but big fish, and they must eat. Someone will inevitably reply to me, "Hey it's a mammal." Well I know that, and the carnivorous one's like to eat smaller animals, regardless of the category we put them in.

Normally when I see a big animal eat a small fish, the whole process is over so quick that my mind never registers any negative feelings for the act. It's a fish and I enjoy fishing. To me they are so low on the food chain they seldom even register a care in my heart about their demise, regardless of how vicious the process may seem. After all, animals in the wild need to eat, and the lower one is on the food chain, the more chance they have of becoming a meal for larger animal or human.

Do Articles Evolve Or Are They Created?

The biggest argument for evolution is creatures evolving from nothing, into super complex somethings. They deny the very existence of a Creator, because they have no knowledge of GOD in their heart. In order to perpetrate their lies, they used the Government to force your children into believing in evolution while disbelieving in a Creator, GOD. In a logical, yet comical way, this evolved article uses the Darwinist theory to make the point that Authors do not exist. Like life, so too are literary works but accidental writings that came about by the evolutionary process.

One would think that asking such a question is beyond absurd, yet if you truly look at all the facts, then one must consider the idea that maybe, just maybe there is no such thing as an original author. After all, unless you can verify that you sat down next to someone writing or typing an article from start to finish, how can you honestly testify that the one claiming to write something, indeed did?

A Love Letter From Our Father In Heaven

I originally wrote this letter about 12 years ago, when I wrote for the Chico California Enterprise Record Newspaper. I shared it with the readers as a Mothers Day message. After they hired a new, “liberal”editor, I was unceremoniously fired. They also removed everything I ever wrote, as if I never existed. This letter I put together from Scripture was compiled from some lists I came across. I added some more, and put it in a letter form. I was one of the first to ever compile them in a letter form. Since then many have done the same, but this is my version. I offer this to all women as a letter of love from the Lover and creator of our Soul, GOD.

by Chuck Ness

When asked by His disciples to teach them how to pray as John's disciples prayed, Jesus gave them this prayer as a model.
"Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13

Throughout His ministry in the World, Jesus was always pointing us to the FATHER in heaven. Thus it makes sense that the prayer He gives to us as a model would lead us to seek HIS will in our lives. Just as we look to the Old Testament Scriptures for proof that they continually point to the coming Messiah, so too must we look to the Scriptures to truly understand the love our FATHER has for the crowning achievement in creation, mankind. Mind you, the Bible is in fact a compilation of sixty six love letters from the LOVER of our soul, GOD HIMSELF. It's my prayer that this love letter, compiled completely from Scriptures, blesses your heart on this Mothers Day.

The Scarlet Thread

(L) Crimson worm caccooned in hard shell protecting her eggs (R) larvae feeding on Syrian hom-oak leaves

by Chuck Ness

Every Christian understands that we are saved by the blood of Christ, because HE was the perfect Lamb which was sacrificed for our sins from the beginning of time. (Revelation 13:8). Every infirmity HE healed, every pain HE helped us overcome, every dead person HE brought back to life, and every sin HE forgave, HE carried to the cross so that our sins could be forgiven. All HE asks of us is to believe, and follow HIM. Isaiah tells us that,

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed ............. He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah 53:8 and 12

From Dispirited Followers to Believers Unto Death

by Chuck Ness

Almost 2000 years ago, there were eleven men who had abandoned their leader in his time of need. Twelve men, if you count the one who betrayed him with a kiss for 30 pieces of silver. The rest scattered as HE was arrested, scourged and then lifted like a snake in the desert. For three years these men clung to their leader, absorbing HIS every Word as HE traveled around teaching and performing miracles. They watched as HE healed paraplegics, cured those with leprosy, gave sight to the blind, and untied the tongues of the mute. They even witnessed HIM bringing back to life a friend who's body was so dead it smelled of rotting flesh.

Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.
John 11:38-39

It must be stated that the followers would have known about the three times in Israel's past when a Prophet raised someone who was dead back to life. Yet in all of three cases the time of death was within a 24 hour period. The first time was when the prophet Elijah brought a widow's son back to life. (1 Kings 16:17-24). The second time was when his disciple, Elisha, raised the Shunammite woman's son from the dead. (2 Kings 4:18-37). The last time was the day a dead man's body was tossed into Elijah's tomb. The very moment the man's body touched Elisha's bones he came back to life. (2 kings 13:20-21)

Persecuted For My Name’s Sake

Pastor Yohan Maria murdered in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh India

Some will take this as an anti-pretribulation rapture post, but it is not. My opinion on ones view of the end times is that it has no bearing upon one's salvation, so why waste your time thinking about it? My point for this post is about those who think they will not be persecuted. Which in and of itself goes against the teachings of the One we put our faith in, Jesus Christ.

by Chuck Ness

What has become one of my biggest pet peeves in Christianity these days, is how so many of my Christian brethren pray they will not be left behind or persecuted for their faith. It bugs me, because nowhere do you read that the early church believed that their persecutions would cease in this World. Thus they may have prayed for protection, but they also understood they would eventually suffer for Christ. Instead, when they were persecuted, they actually felt blessed to be persecuted. Being persecuted is the cost of doing GOD's will. So like the early Christians, we should consider it an honor to be persecuted for Christ. After all, GOD considered His Son worthy to be persecuted and sacrificed for us.

Now I do not claim we should never pray for the safety of ourselves and others, but to do so with the expectation you will never be persecuted in this World for following Jesus is not what we are told. Do you believe that those in China, the Middle East, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, North Korea, and other places do not pray for their safety? Of course they do, but they also realize that they will continue to be persecuted. For those of us in America, the writing is on the wall that, one day soon we too shall be persecuted in similar extreme ways we see our brothers and sisters around the World being persecuted.

Rush Limbaugh, A Picture Worth A Million Words

In his September 2017 issue of the Limbaugh letter, Rush wrote the following.

"The democrat Party is seen by more and more people as a Bullying Bog Government brute. Democrat policies aren't working for the people - they fail, every time they're tried. That's what the Republicans are missing! They're blowing the greatest chance imaginable to deal a lethal blow electorally, to reduce the Democrats to a weak, hallowed-out shadow of their former status for a generation."

Message To Volunteers of Bangladesh Ministry

A Message To The Volunteers of My
Bangladesh Calvary Christian Ministry

by Chuck Ness

My dear brothers and sisters, this is your friend and mentor Chuck. I am sending this letter to all of you who have joined Christ Jesus to help Billa and me in our Calvary Christian Ministry for Bangladesh. Mind you, Billo and I are but servants of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, chosen by GOD to lead you in your walk by sharing that which the Holy Spirit has blessed us with. Silver and Gold we do not have, but that which we do we give to you.

My dear friends, I understand that many of you struggle in these times, since you must travel a long way to gather supplies and training which I send to Billa so he can graciously share with you. I truly realize the burden you are under, and as such I pray daily for you that our LORD will guide, protect, and bless you in your faithful duty to Him, our Lord Jesus. A lesson I wish to convey to you all, comes from Matthew 6:13-21. It is the time our Lord fed five thousand souls from five loaves of bread and two fish a young boy had. This gracious gift of a boy was used as a lesson by Jesus to show them how our GOD is the Provider of our needs. Yet there were those who wanted to have more than just faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they also wanted food and a Worldly King.

Stop Walking Away From GOD

In a recent study of American Christians, it was learned that 83% of Christians make their first commitment to Jesus between the ages of 4 and 14. So the earlier you accept Jesus, the better chance you have meeting me in Heaven one day. With such a large percent of America Christians having accepted Jesus as their Lord Savior being between 4-14 year olds age, really proves how true Proverb 22:6 is,

"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it."
(Proverbs 22:3)

Many people serving as career missionaries have stated they first felt God calling them to missionary service during that 4-14 age period. The study also shows that children ages 5 to 13 have a 32% probability of accepting Christ, but youth or teens aged 14 to 18 have only a 14% probability of doing so. What is truly sad is that the study also shows us that unbelieving adults age 19 and over have just a 6% probability of becoming Christians. This data illustrates the importance of influencing children to consider making a decision to follow Christ and embrace Him as Savior and Lord.

U.S. Has Funded Biolabs In Ukraine For Over 10 Years

by Chuck Ness

U.S. Department of Defense opened Biological Laboratory in Ukraine Please follow the link and read the article from 2010. The facts are scarier than the reality we see, because unless we get to the heart of the problem, we will never stop the madness. Why has the United States Department of Defense spent over $19 million tax dollars to finance 11 Ukraine Biological Laboratories in Ukraine. WHY???
This is just Ukraine, there has since been over 300 laboratories all over the World we have financed, including the one in Wahun China where COVID 19 originated and leaked from.

Ukraine Fights For New World Order?

by Chuck Ness

Many of you are like me, and obviously this guy has the same questions. So, if you question why I have taken the stance I have in the current problems in Ukraine, then maybe after you listen to this guy you too will understand the problem I have with what I keep hearing. Sure seems like we are not getting the whole story. So what is wrong with questioning what the people who lied to us about COVID are now saying about the Russian/Ukranian situation. Or are you to afraid to questioning what our proven failed leaders are now trying to tell us?

Think about the phrase, "New World Order". Why would anyone use that phrase as a reason to defend yourself? So, you keep Russia from taking over, just so you can be controlled by the World Elites, who themselves are controlled by China? Sorry, but now you may understand why I question the reason I should care. OH, I care about the human suffering, but we just got past a point where these same people, who are aligned with China, facilitated the death of millions of humans around the planet.

Why Should I Care?

During the US Presidential campaign of 2008, Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin warned us that if Senator Barack Obama were elected President, his "indecision" and "moral equivalence" may encourage Russia's Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine. Well Obama won and became President, then in 2014 he sat back and watched as Putin rolled into Ukraine to take the Crimea. 8 years later his former Vice President and now President, Joe Biden, is sitting back as he watches Putin finish the job by invading Ukraine again.

My heart goes out for those suffering from a war they themselves never wanted, yet we all must live with the consequences that come from those who lead us. In the United States, we have Beavis and Butt-Head runing our country, and I actually believe equivicating them with those characters is an insult to them. Weel, I sadly must admit that I am so on the fence on this Russia vs Ukraine war that I find it difficult to get upset anymore. I mean, Look at the way the United States goes from one extreme to the other in how we deal with both our allies and enemies. Depending on which political party controls the White House, can mean the difference between freedom or subjugation for us and our allies. Is it any wonder, many like me find it difficult to even care anymore?

Christ Is The Wisdom Of God Proverb 21:30

Today I am sharing a comment on Proverb 21:30 from Ray comfort.

“There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.”

If I had a worldly hero, it would be Thomas Edison. Atheists claim that he was one of them, but he wasn't. He said, "I believe in the existence of a Supreme Intelligence pervading the Universe." He was ungodly, but he was no fool.

Not only was he the ultimate inventor, but he wasn't afraid of failure. He said that failure taught him what not to do.

But my greatest admiration for him, was his humility. He had the wisdom to say, "We do not know one millionth of one percent about anything.”

How different that is from the hubris know-it-all generation in which we live. We may think that we are wise, but if we do, we are fools in the eyes of God. The wise know that to be true.

End Of Sorrow In Christ

by Chuck Ness

An interesting lesson was given to me. Please follow my thinking on this. Consider this about our walk in this World as a born again child in Christ

While reading through Leviticus in my morning quiet time, I came to Leviticus 21:10. This is where GOD gives HIS regulations to the son’s of Aaron, which the line of High Priests are to come from, as to how they are to conduct themselves.

In particular, this part speaks of how the priests are to act towards the dead. One regulation is that the one’s anointed to be high Priests among their brethren, are never ever to uncover their head nor ever tear their cloths.

A Bruised Head & A Bruised Heel

As powerful as this image is, understand this, the nail represents us, for it is our sins that nailed HIM to that cross.

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:1

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
2 Corinthians 9:15

Proverb 7:22 As An Ox Goes To The Slaughter

by Chuck Ness

Probably the greatest example of the consequences mentioned in Proverbs 7, is the way Delilah sold out Samson for some silver. Only the betrayal of Christ by Judas', will you find a greater example of betrayal. However, this Proverb is about a man being brought down by a harlot, so Samson's destruction at the hands of Delilah fits for today.

Many men through the ages have lost everything, because they cherished the moment over their future. I would lie if I said I never fell for such a woman, as many men have. Mine cost me my first marriage, and to this day I still regret it. I lost all I had, my wife, my children, my home, and my livelihood. Years later I still pay the price, because I lost millions of moments with my children.

The Father & I Are One

"The Father and I are One"
John 10:30

This is the clearest statement of Jesus divinity He ever made.Jesus and His Father are not the same, but they are one in essence and nature. Thus, Jesus is not merely a good teacher — He is GOD! His claim to be GOD was unmistakable. The religious leaders wanted to kill Him because their laws said that anyone claiming to be GOD should die. Nothing could persuade them that Jesus was GOD. Yet when people welcome the proclamations of the Good News, they are also welcoming Jesus Christ and, through Him, the Father

"I tell you the truth, anyone who welcomes my messenger is welcoming me, and anyone who welcomes me is welcoming the father who sent me".
John 13:20

Jesus is the visible, tangible image of the invisible GOD. He is the complete revelation of what GOD is like. Jesus explained to Philip, who wanted to see the father, that to know Jesus is to know the GOD. The search for GOD. for truth and reality, ends in Christ.

Ruth 1:6-22 Widows Journey

Ruth 1:6-22

Two Widows Journey to Bethlehem

Ruth is a poignant story of faithless disobedience, that leads to death, sorrow, bitterness, and then loyalty and finally redemption. It's my prayer that you will realize that if an inconspicuous Moabite peasant woman could achieve royalty for her descendants in Israel, then anyone can gain Salvation. The story of Ruth contains secrets to the Kingdom of Heaven that point directly to the work our Savior, Jesus Christ, would one day accomplish for us all on Calvary. Ultimately God will reward Ruth's faith and obedience by making her the great grandmother of King David and a place in the genealogy of Jesus that Matthew records in his Gospel.
