I Published My Book

I recently self published my first book, and I posted this to FreeRepublic out of respect for
the many FReepers who have been part of my growth, which has led to my ability to write.

I've been a Freeper for 25 years come February 20, 2023, and I must admit my knowledge and understanding of things has been immensely effected by the many great minds who are part of that great forum. Whether it's about politics, science, history, or religion, FreeRepublic has been to me, what many Colleges used to be. I have witnessed many a great mind debate other great minds, and I have also witnessed my share of knock down, drag out, leave no prisoner, fights between Freepers who would die on their cross of beliefs. Probably the biggest was the battle of the long-knives. This is not an insult, but rather a compliment to the way that forum has truly effected me, and many like me, in our understanding of the world throughout the last 25 years.

Let Go Of The Anger (Romans 12:18-21)

by Chuck Ness

Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured. Paul tells us to;
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking
be put away from you, with all malice.
Ephesians 4:31
Anger and rage do more harm to those those who practice it, than it does to the person the anger is targeted at. How many times have we witnessed someone so full of anger and rage that they end up doing something that only hurts themselves. How many times has that happened to you?

The Lord our God gave us a free will. The ability to choose which road to take in our daily journey. We can choose to walk in peace with The Lord, or we can choose to walk in anger with the enemy. One is grace the other is not, one is obedience the other is sin.

No Fear Of GOD

"There is no fear of God before his eyes."
Psalm 36:1

Sadly, this phrase has been woven into the very fabric of our society today. When a man has no fear of GOD, he is prepared for any crime. Total depravity is not too strong a term to describe such human wickedness. Evil people who have no fear of GOD, in reality have no affection for others, all they care about is their own satisfaction.

Born Faith

by Jose Barajas

I have seven brothers and two sisters, as I have stated in the past. My parents are Mexican who were both born in Mexico. All of us, with the exception of my little brother, were born in Mexico. The fact that my little brother was born in America, makes him an American citizen, but he is still Mexican. After years of us living in the United States, some of my brothers, a sister, and both my parents received their citizenship and became American citizens, but they are still and will always be Mexican. Regardless of what our citizenship may be, we are what race, or nationality we were born into, and nothing we do can change that.

The book of Romans, written by the apostle Paul, is one of the great books in the Bible, and one of my favorites. There is what is called the Roman road of salvation when one is sharing the gospel of Jesus, and I want to focus on what Romans is truly teaching here. Let’s look at what Paul writes in Romans three twenty three,

This Psalm I Sing To Christ, Our King

by Chuck Ness

I got angry, and I stepped out in the flesh in my response to something that I perceived as a wrong. However, it is not my place to correct the World, for the World is lost, and so who am I to fix that which I cannot. All I can do is share the truth, while remembering to do so in love, or else I will be a poor ambassador for Christ Jesus.

I understand it's OK to get angry at those who act as the Pharisees did, because Jesus got angry with them. For they walked around in a way to be seen for their good deeds, while in truth their hearts only cared for the worldly profit they could gain. Those men who claim to teach the Word of GOD, but are just wolves deceiving others with their words of silk and songs of love, truly deserve our wrath but those lost in the World do not.

Lord my God, my Savior, my King, forgive me for stepping in the flesh by chastising the lost. Yes, I allowed myself to walk in the flesh by ridiculing one lost in the Lord, by doing so, I put a stumbling bock that could keep them from coming to You my LORD. We are called to give an invitation to those lost in the World. An invitation to come to You my LORD so they can be healed, not to chase them away as the Pharisees did.

This Psalm I Sing To Jesus Christ, Our King

Forgive me O'LORD, and wash away my guilt so I can again enter into YOUR presence with a pure and forgiven heart.

We are but the dirt YOU formed from Adam's seed, yet when YOU came down to us through Eve's seed, we found forgiveness through Your Blood on the Cross for our evil deeds.

We have been reborn as new creatures, and now we walk down the path towards Your Celestial City, and when we arrive O'Lord we shall receive a crown of righteousness, which we will gladly toss at YOUR feet, and live eternally in YOUR presence.

My Lord, my God, upon Your Name I stake my claim, for upon the Cross You took my blame, now all I have is Yours O'Lord, because all You had you gave to save my wretched soul.

O'LORD, my GOD, my Savior, my King, to YOU this Psalm I sing.

Amen

Do Not Rejoice When Evil People Fall Proverbs 24:17-18

by Chuck Ness

As we watch the way the Democrats attack every good thing, while upholding and rewarding all evil, it is natural to desire the day they fall. Yet when that day comes, and it surely will, remember not to celebrate nor rejoice. Instead consider what Solomon wrote in Proverb 24:17-18;

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;
Lest the LORD see it, and it displease Him,
And He turn away His wrath from him

Proverbs 24:17-18

So if you truly pray for the wicked to meet justice from God, then let God do it, but do not do as they do my rejoicing. For by doing so, you are telling God you are no better than they are. It is a fearful thing to be judged by the Righteous GOD.

Psalm 1:5-6 tells us that only the ungodly will stand in the judgement before GOD'

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Psalm 1:5-6
So on the day of judgment, for their evil, GOD will punishment them greatly and eternaly. For as Jesus tells us,
“The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
Matthew 13:41-43

They will be separated from GOD for eternity, if they never repent of their evil. So do not rejoice when the day of their punishment comes, because you cannot understand the damnation they have cursed themselves to face. Instead pity them, for their punishment will never end.

We are not to be as Jonah was, who hated the Ninevites so much that he didn't even want them to hear GOD's message to repent and be saved. The prophet was angry at their repentance because he would rather see them destroyed. So he refused to share the truth with the Ninivites, and instead headed into the opposite direction. When God finally got him to Ninevah, he admitted his sin and repented.

But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
Jonah 4:1-2

Jonah knew from the start that God was gracious and merciful. He realized that if the people of Nineveh repented, God would spare them. There are many reasons for Jonah's hatred for the Nineveh and why he would rather see then destroyed. After all, Nineveh was the capitol of the Assyrian Empire, the Assyrian’s were a heartless, cruel, and evil people; they were great enemies of Israel. Jonah had no love for them, yet GOD wanted to show compassion to them by giving them a chance to repent.

This is why Jesus calls us to be vessels of compassion, and to pray for our enemies to be saved,

Jesus told us in “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?
Matthew 5:44-47

Maybe, just maybe some of these many evil people who are in a position of power today will repent, and be used by GOD to turn what is meant for evil into good. However, even if they don't repent, we are called to be the lantern of Christ, so He can shine HIS light of truth and compassion on all. If they do not repent, then when the day comes for their fall, remember to let it be. Then you will be assured they will feel the full punishment of GOD for their evil, lest He remove HIS wrath and they escape their punishment here on earth. So bless them, it will be like pouring hot coals upon their heads.

I pray that those who have ears to hear will hear His voice and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen

Search My Heart Lord Psalm 139:23-24

by Chuck Ness

Lately there have been times when I become angry at the things I see going in the world. I find myself wondering if the things I care about are worth my time. I see many people walking around in a daze, caring only for what the world has to offer them, not what the Lord does.

It seems like my friends and relatives dismiss the things I share with them as just another rant from someone who is way too wrapped up in things they could care less about. My frustration can become so overwhelming that I wonder why I should even care for what they think, or where they are headed. That’s when I realize my love for them has become contempt, and that I need to step back and search my heart.

Smoldering Ruins Of Your Past

(Ruins Of Paradise California After devestating Fire)

by Chuck Ness

Knowledge puffs us up, but love edifies. Some, like myself have at times, come off like we are so puffed up with our knowledge of HIS word that we become arrogant towards the lost. To the lost, we become nothing more than a clanging bell that drives the lost farther from Christ, not nearer to THEE.

Sometimes I get so angry that I lose track of the mission I have been baptized to do. Lately, my heart has become so withered with hurt and anger towards those who wish me and mine harm, that I have nothing but hate packed in my arsenal for battle.
