by Chuck Ness

Rob is a proud Beaver County Pennsylvania resident. He was born in New Brighton and currently lives in Rochester. Rob has been with News Radio 1020 KDKA since 1983 and currently hosts the Weekend Magazine. He covers a range of topics and issues during the program including travel, home improvement, veterinary medicine and Black and Gold Sunday's. Rob's guests on past shows have included Mary Steenburgen, Rob Reiner, Congressman Jason Altmire and Congressman Tim Murphy.

Along with time on the radio airwaves, Rob currently hosts various cable television shows and has hosted programs such as Heritage Valley Health System Front Page seen Sunday's on the CW and Highmark High School Sports Practice during the high school sports season which airs Sunday morning's on FSN. Rob Pratte has touched millions of lives. His quite remarkable range of talents and "people" power have taken him from board rooms to political back rooms and from Congressional offices to star-studded dressing rooms.

In his spare time, if he has any, Rob loves model railroading, working out and hanging with his kids. Rob is married to Kelly and his three children, Tyler, Robbie and Eva attend St. John's the Baptist School in Monaca.

Rob is one of the biggest train guys around the country.  His kids are into the trains just as much as he is and it seems that his wife has grown an interest as well. She inventories all of Rob's collection. He is currently working on a overhead train layout that will be in his downstairs family room. It is quite an ambitious project!  Below is a film that was taken by MartyE Productions of Rob Pratte's MTH DCS Controlled Multi-Level Layout. You should also check out Rob's Photo gallery for more amazing sites of his passion of the miniature RR hobby that his whole family has embraced.

I welcome differing opinions, I do believe in free speech, just not vulgar cuss laden comments written for the only purpose of offending people in general.

Differing opinions is not what I refer to, go ahead and disagree, but in a polite way so we can have a logical respectful discussion.

By offensive, I mean by being vulgar, as in swearing, using God's name in vain, or derogatorily offensive in a way you would not talk to your own Grandmother, Mother, or daughter, and then the comment will be removed.

I may not respond to your comment promptly, and there is no way with blogger for me to respond directly to your comment,. So come back and look for me to respond in a new comment to you by the name you post your comment with.
