Anita MonCrief, A Modern Day David Fighting Obama, Acorn, & the Democrats

Post Scripts recently posted an article titled, "First Black Tea Party - Houston". The article tells us how America's first majority black Tea Party has begun to educate those in their urban neighborhood of Houston. One of the founding members of that Tea Party is Anita MonCrief, who is also a Freeper as I am. Besides that insignificant fact, another interesting fact about Anita is that she is  Whistleblower.

Ms MonCreif blew the whistle on the illegal activity of her employer, ACORN. When ACORN officials learned she was going to speak out they trumped up charges that she was using a Project Vote credit card to pay for personal items. The charges however were proven, and Anita MonCrief has been a thorn in their side by testifying in court against them.

Most people never knew that because the media never reported it beyond a few paragraphs on page six of some gossip column. While the news of ACORN's ilegalities should have broke before the election in 2008, Anita was told by a NYT's reporter, Stephanie Strom that the paper was killing the story because of how close ot came to the election and that it could possibly be a "Political Game Changer".

I guess an October surprise that may a politician, only matters if it can hurt the chances of a Republican. Like the report that GW had a DUI in his college days that they released on the weekend before the election in 2000. Remember, the the media only tells you about whistleblowers when they are helping to bring down Republicans just before elections. When one comes out against leftists the MSM either helps the left to destroy them or completely blocks the news from getting to you as they did with Anita vs ACORN and Obama just before the Presidential election in 2008.

In a House Judiciary committee, the attorney for the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee, Heather Heidelbaugh, testified that ACORN whistleblower, Anita Moncrief, was informed by the NYTs reporter,

In John Fund's WSJ article last October, Mr. MonCrief's testimony in a Pennsylvania court while investigating ACORN's voter fraud charges also included confirmation that the Obama campaign had provided ACORN with "...lists of potential donors by several Democratic presidential campaigns, including that of Barack Obama, to troll for contributions." A relationship that could constitute a violation of federal election laws.

The Obama campaign denies it "has any ties" to Acorn, but Mr. Obama's ties are extensive. In 1992 he headed a registration effort for Project Vote, an Acorn partner at the time. He did so well that he was made a top trainer for Acorn's Chicago conferences. In 1995, he represented Acorn in a key case upholding the constitutionality of the new Motor Voter Act -- the first law passed by the Clinton administration -- which created the mandated, nationwide postcard voter registration system that Acorn workers are using to flood election offices with bogus registrations. Below is some of what Ms MonCreif testified to in a Pennsylvania court room. ACORN's quality-control efforts were "minimal or nonexistent". The quality control policies of ACORN were "largely window dressing". ACORN knew that most new voter registration forms it had gathered were fraudulent. She testified that only 40% of registration cards turned in by their voter registration drives were legitimate. While employed by ACORN, the organization was given lists of potential donors by several Democratic presidential campaigns, including that of Barack Obama. In November of 2007, ACORN's Project Vote development director, Karyn Gillette, told her that she had direct contact with the Obama campaign and that they gave her a copy of Obama's donor lists. She testified that when she told Ms Gillette that there appeared to be duplicate names on the list and that Ms Gillette informed her she would talk with the Obama campaign and get a better version. She also testified that she was given a spreadsheet to use in cultivating Obama donors who had maxed out on donations to the candidate, but who could contribute to voter registration efforts. She testified that ACORN's policy was, "To throw under the bus, any individual caught while falsifying registration forms". Ms. MonCrief has handed over to John Fund, copies of the donor lists Anita says were obtained from other Democratic campaigns, as well as the 2004 DNC donor lists.

Another problem Ms MonCrief had with ACORN was their protection mob tactics in their "Muscle for Money" campaign to intimidate businesses into contributing grants.

Ms. Moncrief testified, at the time, the money obtained from donors on the list was allegedly to be used for voter registration drives. According to Ms. MonCrief, "There really isn't a difference between Project Vote and ACORN." She said they have the same staff and share the same offices. If proven, ACORN and Project Vote could at the very least, lose their tax-exampt status for engaging in politically partisan activities. ACORN's questionable activism extended into what Ms. MonCrief called a "Muscle for the Money" program. Ms. Heidelbaugh told the panel that Ms. MonCrief said there were two programs with that name -- one official and one unofficial. The official program is the marketing name ACORN gives for its voter registration drives. But the unofficial program, is directed at corporations for donations. Ms. Heidelbaugh quoted from Ms. MonCrief testimony, "[ACORN was] paid by SEIU (the Service Employees International Union) to harass a man named Mr. Rubenstein, and they wanted me to go out -- the D.C. local did, wanted me to go out and break up a banquet dinner, protest out in front of his house.... it was always referred to as 'Muscle for Money' because they would go out there, intimidate these people, protest ... And instead of, you know, reforming the way they did the rapid anticipation loans, they ended up giving money to the ACORN tax sites ... The companys would pay money to get the protesting to stop....the insiders at ACORN called it "protection"... programs were carried out against Sherwin Williams, Jackson Hewitt, H&R Block, the Carlyle Group and Money Mart."

At Freerepublic we recently discussed the newest chapter of America's Tea Party movement. I would like to share a quote from Anita, for anyone who still may wonder about the motive and sincerity of the members of the new chapter.

"When I worked for ACORN, they used blacks to hide their illegal activity. What we are trying to do is break that cycle. Last night's meeting was about unity. If we are true Conservatives, we care about ALL of America and want to take it back. Tea Parties are set up where people live and there is not one in 3rd ward.

 The media is calling us a "Black Tea Party", but we are simply a Tea Party set up in a urban minority area. All are welcome. We are also a party of the Texas Tea Party Federation."

As a co-founder of the newest chapter of the Texas Tea movement, her name is rather familiar, because of her Whistleblower testimony. Interesting how she was a liberal Democrat who must have woke up and smelled the coffee one day and realized that something was amiss. She joined FreeRepublic in June of 2009, so that gives you an idea of how long ago she must have changed her status from a liberal Democrat to a conservative Republican. Part of the mission statement for the "Houston Urban Tea Party" states:

"To build a strong base of conservative Black entrepreneurs, elected officials and constituents that provide Black conservatives a viable way to express and implement their conservative values politically."

"We're trying to break the stereotype that the tea party is racist." says Anita.

When it comes to summing up Anita and her battle against the Obama, the Democrats, and their army of thugs at ACORN, Ann "Babe" Huggett of Red State said it best when she wrote the following back in October of 2010,

Remember the old Bible story of the young sheppard boy, David, single-handedly taking on the gigantic Philistine warrior, Goliath, armed with nothing more than a sling and five smooth stones? There's Goliath, with his entire army behind him, towering over David, cursing up a storm and laughing in derisive disbelief as a mere slip of a boy approaches him twirling that sling then BLAMO! The released stone smacks Goliath right between the eyes collapsing him like a soufflé taken too soon out of the oven. David springs forward and with Goliath's own sword lops off the giant's head. Then David, holding aloft Goliath's disembodied noggin, routed the entire Philistine army. Only this time it's a single mom named Anita and her sling is loaded with rotten ACORNs. The giant, leftist-perverted legal system is strutting around in front of her while Obama and his crew of czars, handlers, power-mad legislators-turned-rulers and media attack dogs shriek and howl in fearful outrage in the background. Anita is taking careful aim, knowing that Truth will give her the killer blow not only in the court of public opinion but in the actual courts of America. Her time is soon coming when she will not only vanquish her collective legal foe but hold up its severed head so that the Obamunists can no longer hide behind the legal system to consolidate their silent, fraudulent, socialist coup. And...unlike a different Anita dredged up by the Democrats to discredit then Supreme Court Justice nominee, Clarence Thomas,... Ms MonCrief is an Anita you CAN believe!

Sadly, we can expect the left along with a complicit media to attack them for being Uncle Toms who are out of touch. We will hear how they are confused and uneducated because they dare to agree with the racist whiteys who form the majority of Tea Party members across America.

As for me, I will continue to refer to them as the "Houston Urban Tea Party", not the black tea party as the media and the left is trying to label them. So, I ask you, who is the racist?

My prayers are with their chapter of the Tea Party as they battle the same enemy we all face in America today. The difference, if there is any between their chapter and the rest around America, is that they are in the heart of the liberal left of Houston. So they battle the enemy of America on the front lines. The communists who now control the Democrat party will not sit idly by as more and more black Americans learn that the left only wants to put everyone in America in proverbial chains of slavery. I pray that more black Americans will follow Anita's lead, and have the courage to stand up for the truth as she is.
