My Bangladesh Ministry Update

Calvary Chapel Ministry Bangladesh Billa Das

I want to share a short video of my brother in Bangladesh doing the Lord's work. He travels many miles to teach and distribute Bibles and other items our Lord has gifted him. You must understand that while we are worried about being persecuted for our faith in the United States, in Billa's country, Christians are already being persecuted. Billa lives in a predominantly Muslim country who's government is not friendly to Christians. Yet, he still goes out daily to spread the Gospel and teach Bible classes to orphans. I am convinced that one day Billa will hear Christ say,

"Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord."

We must all pray to know what our gift is, then go out and use it as God intended us to do. For if we do not do our part, then the church as a whole suffers. Like our own human body that has parts that work together for our benefit, God gives us each a gift that is meant to benefit the whiole body of the church. If our hand refuses to help us, then our whole human body can suffer. Well so too, if we as brothers and sisters of the same body of Christ refuse to use our gifts to help the whole body, then the whole body of Christ can suffer.

Paul tells us in Romans,

"We, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality."

Understand that Jesus asks each and everyone of us,

“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

Becoming a missionary isn’t like becoming an accountant. God sets apart missionaries in a unique, providential way—a “calling,” if you prefer. If the Gospel is the heart of the church that keeps the lifeblood flowing to its members, then missionaries are the vascular system, running that lifeblood to every organ, every appendage, every inch of skin in the world. A beating heart means nothing without the rest of the vascular system. Paul tells us;

"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”

We should all be diligent to read the Scriptures daily and faithfully, but we should also pray for the Lord's will in our liveds. Each and everyone of us should pray for God to reveal our gift, then pray for the guidance to use that gift to help His church grow.

Do not be like the one who buried his talent, who was then told by our Lord,

"You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Use the talent given to you by our Lord to do as He wants you to do. Then one day, instead of gnashing your teeth, you will be blessed when you hear the same words I am convinced my brother in Bagladesh will one day hear,

"Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord."

I welcome differing opinions, I do believe in free speech, just not vulgar cuss laden comments written for the only purpose of offending people in general.

Differing opinions is not what I refer to, go ahead and disagree, but in a polite way so we can have a logical respectful discussion.

By offensive, I mean by being vulgar, as in swearing, using God's name in vain, or derogatorily offensive in a way you would not talk to your own Grandmother, Mother, or daughter, and then the comment will be removed.

I may not respond to your comment promptly, and there is no way with blogger for me to respond directly to your comment,. So come back and look for me to respond in a new comment to you by the name you post your comment with.
