Judge’s Rules Global Warming is a Religion

by Chuck Ness

In a ruling that is sure to cause more headaches than the left realizes, a British judge has ruled in favor of a man who was fired on grounds that he was unfairly dismissed due to religious views. Judge David Sneath ruled that an executive fired from a property company can claim he was unfairly dismissed because of his “philosophical belief in climate change”. The judge ruled that Global Warming was the man’s religion and thus his right to religious expression was violated when they fired him.

Tim Nicholson leaves an employment
tribunal at Audit House, London.

An executive sacked from a giant property company can claim he was unfairly dismissed because of his "philosophical belief in climate change", a judge ruled yesterday.

In the first case of its kind, employment judge David Sneath said Tim Nicholson, a former environmental policy officer, could invoke employment law for protection from discrimination against him for his conviction that climate change was the world's most important environmental problem.

That conviction amounted to a philosophical belief under the Employment Equality (Religion and Belief) Regulations, 2003, the judge ruled on a point of law at a pre-hearing review of an employment tribunal in London. (Independent UK)

Expect the angst among environmentalist to increase as the shock wave of this ruling slowly makes its way around the globe. This ruling will surely give ammunition in the fight against the false global warming crowd. I have said many times that environmentalism is a religious belief and that global warming is just another offshoot of this left wing religion. So, will the liberals worshiping the planet now admit we on the right are right? After all we now have a judge that agrees with us.

The left never misses a chance to exploit any angle they can to help their cause. They even go so far as to cherry pick judges that will rule in their favor. Now they may claim that this judges ruling will have no effect in America, but they would be wrong. After all, leftist judges not too long ago under the Obama administration, like Supreme Court judges like Souter, Ginsburg, and others who have clearly stated their belief that it is their duty to look at foreign rulings and laws to help them decide cases before them.

One more important question needs to be answered, will the prophets of global warming, Al Gore, now be refused a podium at universities and schools across America? After all, with the separation of church and state ruling being the law of the land, he should not be allowed to preach his religion in schools or any other government building again. Right?

I welcome differing opinions, I do believe in free speech, just not vulgar cuss laden comments written for the only purpose of offending people in general.

Differing opinions is not what I refer to, go ahead and disagree, but in a polite way so we can have a logical respectful discussion.

By offensive, I mean by being vulgar, as in swearing, using God's name in vain, or derogatorily offensive in a way you would not talk to your own Grandmother, Mother, or daughter, and then the comment will be removed.

I may not respond to your comment promptly, and there is no way with blogger for me to respond directly to your comment,. So come back and look for me to respond in a new comment to you by the name you post your comment with.
