The Price Of Liberty

by Chuck Ness

We are entering another election year, and this one is as important as the one which put Donald Trump in the oval Office. Now is not the time to sit on your laurels. We need everyone to understand the importance of repeating what we did on November 8, 2016. The establishment is doing all it can to stop the process of cleaning out the swamp. Mind you, the "Swamp" consists of members from both the Republican and Democrat parties. Our Founding Fathers warned us to be alert, if we desire to keep that which they gave us.
"The price of liberty is eternal vigilance" Thomas Jefferson
History records, that when Benjamin Franklin walked out the doors of Independence Hall at the end of the 1787 Constitutional Convention, A woman asked him,
"Well, Doctor, what have we got, a Republic or a Monarchy?"
Benjamin replied,
"A Republic my dear. If you can keep it."
The quotes above, tells us how important it is to educate ourselves, and our children. We all must understand the power the Constitution gives us, the people. By understanding our rights and the governments limits, we will have the knowledge to fight against political heresy. Sadly, way too many Americans have never read it, and so they only know what others have told them it means. This is why so many are willing to give away their constitutional rights to the government. Thus, the government now has more power than it was intended to have.

Many Americans just don't understand the gift our Founding Fathers gave us when they wrote the Constitution. After the Bible and the Magna Carta, the US Constitution is the most powerful document in the history of mankind. To keep it from being shredded any more than it already is, we need to convince those who think like us, to vote each and every time there is an election. If we fail, then our freedom will one day be lost.

Without that freedom gone, we will also lose our right to worship as we so choose. We can already see Christianity being attacked at every level with the help of judges who swore allegiance to the very constitution that defends our religious rights. The swamp is deep, and the fight is fierce.  Satan has his minions inside every dept of the government, and it will take more than just a vote, it will take prayers and diligence on our part. We won a battle in November 2016, but it was just a battle. The war goes on.

Never ever forget, had Hillary Clinton won the election in 2016, the United States as we know it would be over. We would have lost everything our Founding Fathers fought and died for. That is how precarious the situation was after Obama's 8 years of destruction. Don't believe me? Look how they are still trying to overturn the election 19 Months after Trump won. I thank God every day I wake up, when I say grace with my meals, and when I go to bed, that Donald Trump is our President. He has his faults, and he has and will again make mistakes, but not since the great Ronald Reagan have we had a true man of the people in the Oval Office.

Yet, even though God blessed America to have Trump as our President today, you can see how destructive and invasive the diseases of Socialism, Communism, & Fascism have become in our government. The cancer of the "Deep State" will stop at nothing to keep the power they spent over a hundred years amassing.

As powerful and intrusive as the government was when Reagan was elected in 1980, it is ten time worse today. Since the great Renaldo Maximus left office in 1989, we have had another 3 Presidents whittle away our Constitutional rights with new programs that have ballooned into monstrosities. The United States cannot, and will not, will not survive another 28 years of leaders who have a "One World Order" mentality. That's why our President needs our help.

To truly understand the sacrifice given for us to be free, consider just a few of the many the Patriots gave so we could be free today.
Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags. Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.

British soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton. At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. Thomas Nelson quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. His own home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.

Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months. John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. A few weeks later he died from exhaustion and a broken heart. Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates.

Such were the stories and sacrifices of the American Revolution. These were not wild eyed, rabble-rousing ruffians. They were soft-spoken men of means and education. They had security, but they valued liberty more. Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they pledged: "For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.
"
Those were just a few of the thousands of such stories of real men and women who sacrificed everything they had. They did not give everything so that some future generation would spit upon their sacrifice while giving back to the King that which they gave all for. God help us, because we don't seem to want to help ourselves like our ancestors did time and time again. From the Revolutionary War to today's war against "Radical Islam", men and women sacrifice for future generations to be free.

Now is the time to show them that their sacrifice was not in vain. We must do all we can, to defend and support Donald Trump as he battles the Swamp for us, and to do so he needs a Congress that will fight with him. Wake up and get involved so that come November we can replace as many Swamp creatures in Congress as possible.

Come 2020, 2022, and then again in 2014 will will need to do so again. It is a constant battle we must fight, because the Swamp will not just give up and walk away. Mind you, Satan counts upon us being apathetic so he can destroy the very freedom of our descendants. Our children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren depends upon our eternal vigilance. We must be sure to instill in them, the desire to keep fighting for that which we were given by our ancestors. We all need to understand that, "The Price of Liberty is Eternal Vigilance."

I welcome differing opinions, I do believe in free speech, just not vulgar cuss laden comments written for the only purpose of offending people in general.

Differing opinions is not what I refer to, go ahead and disagree, but in a polite way so we can have a logical respectful discussion.

By offensive, I mean by being vulgar, as in swearing, using God's name in vain, or derogatorily offensive in a way you would not talk to your own Grandmother, Mother, or daughter, and then the comment will be removed.
