Times Are New, Yet They Are The Same

By Chuck Ness

Many Christians are unaware of the fact that it was the Great Awakening of the 18th century that brought about a climate which made the American Revolution possible. The message that, “Ye must be born again”, resonated resonated with Colonists, making them realize that it was not church membership, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that made you a Christian.

After a couple generations of this mindset, the Colonists came to realize that political power did not reside in the hands of the English monarch, but rather in their own desire will for self-governance. As evidence, I offer you these words from the Declaration of Independence,

3000 Illegal Children Cost Taxpayers $190 Million

by Chuck Ness

All joking aside, I find it interesting how we are told this is something generated by children and their parents, yet here is another story of how our own government is knee deep involved.

Hershee, The Greatest Dog In The World

by Chuck Ness

You are greatly missed Hershee.

12/18/1995 – 12/27/2014

Our precious dog made it to her 18th birthday, and her 19th Christmas, nut then in the early hours of Friday December 27 we had to take her on that one way journey to the rainbow bridge. I tried to sit down and write a post about her, but I was never able to get past the first paragraph. Every time I did my eyes begin to well up, and my would freeze above the keyboard as I thought of what to write. Next thing I know, I’m closing the lid on my laptop without even turn it off. And I thought my wife would have the most difficult time of letting go of her life.

It was early October when I posted a plea for some friends at FreeRepublic to pray for me to have the strength to do what I knew would soon be inevitable. I told them that I could do it, but that it would be difficult for my wife to agree it was time if she didn’t take that trip to Rainbow bridge on her own.
